Enterprise 2.0 Open - Bonding the Enterprise 2.0 Community at CeBIT 2008

Enterprise 2.0 Open is a Barcamp-alike event

What is a BarCamp?

BarCamps are user generated (un-)conferences — they are open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants.

Find more information at Wikipedia.

Why e2open-BarCamp?

We have visited BarCamps before and were always impressed by their effectiveness - not only in terms of knowledge sharing, but also in terms of making connections between the participants. So we want to leverage this model for user generated conferences also in the field of Enterprise 2.0 which is dear to us.

BarCamp-style of organizing the BarCamp

Organization will happen primarily in this wiki and via the e2open-Blog, i.e. we will harness the complete Web 2.0 communications toolkit.

We will collect ideas, questions and proposed sessions here in the wiki. Then on the 9th of March at Hanover CeBIT we will let attendees schedule the day, probably using a white board (Open Grid approach).

e2open Rules

All the usual BarCamp-style rules apply, i.e.

- everyone is encouraged to present or facilitate a session

- everyone shall talk and blog about e2open before/during/after CeBIT - share information freely!

- use public web channels including (but not limited to) blogging, photo sharing, social bookmarking, wiki-ing, and IRC.

Use the tag e2open.
